From July 2025 3rd to 12t, Jazzablanca Festival returns for its 18th edition, transforming Casablanca (Morocco) into a vibrant hub of music and cultural exchange. Expanding to 10 days, this year’s festival offers a dynamic blend of high-energy concerts on the opening and closing weekends, while the midweek performances promise more intimate and experimental experiences. With a lineup spanning jazz, funk, soul, and global rhythms, Jazzablanca 2025 is set to be its most ambitious edition yet.
Jazzablanca: a star-studded opening weekend
The festival kicks off with three electrifying nights from July 3 to 5. Afro-Cuban jazz collective El Comité sets the tone on Stage 21 with their signature grooves, while Moroccan-French singer Hindi Zahra returns to Casa Anfa for an exclusive performance of her latest album.
The opening night’s biggest moment will be Seal, the British legend known for Kiss from a Rose and Crazy, bringing his iconic voice and emotional depth to the Casablanca stage.
On July 4, virtuoso guitarist Marcin takes over Stage 21 before the festival shifts to Brazil with Seu Jorge’s signature samba at Casa Anfa. The night culminates with funk pioneers Kool & The Gang, whose timeless hits promise an unforgettable dance-filled celebration.
July 5 will see one of the festival’s most anticipated performances as global superstars Black Eyed Peas bring their era-defining hits, including I Gotta Feeling and Where Is The Love?, for an explosive audiovisual spectacle.
A week of musical discovery
From July 6 to 9, the festival offers a more intimate setting at Stage 21, where diverse and experimental sounds take center stage. Moroccan project Aïta Mon Amour will blend traditional Aïta music with electronic elements, while London-based Waaju fuses Afrobeat with the hypnotic rhythms of Moroccan Gnaoua, performed by Maâlem Majid Bekkas.
One of the week’s highlights is the Ezra Collective, the Mercury Prize-winning jazz ensemble known for their dynamic fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and Afrobeat, set to deliver a powerful and immersive performance.
The grand finale with global icons
The festival’s final stretch from July 10 to 12 will feature some of the most influential names in contemporary music. Palestinian pianist Faraj Suleiman and his quintet will showcase a unique blend of Levantine melodies and modern jazz. On July 11, trumpet maestro Ibrahim Maalouf returns to Jazzablanca with The Trumpets of Michelangelo, an awe-inspiring mix of jazz and Arabic influences.
The closing night on July 12 will be a historic moment for the festival. Congolese Afro-rock legends Jupiter & Okwess will light up Stage 21 with their high-energy rhythms before the grand finale—Macklemore’s first-ever performance in Morocco, bringing his chart-topping hits and electrifying stage presence to Jazzablanca.
Jazzablanca: the Casablanca’s spirit
Since its launch in 2006, Jazzablanca has evolved into more than just a festival—it is a cultural movement that bridges genres, generations, and geographies. This year, it reaffirms its mission: to celebrate diversity, innovation, and the unifying power of music, making Casablanca a global epicenter of sound and creativity.
