Black Coffee (24th) and Vini Vici (27th) are the african djs included in 2024 DJ Mag Too 100 DJs Poll.

The results are in for another year from the most important poll in electronic dance music, and once again they make for fascinating reading. Top 100 DJs provides a snapshot of the popularity of DJs worldwide. Votes come from all around the world, and once they have been verified and counted they create the all-important Top 100 DJs ranking. Although we no longer make voting numbers public, to avoid presenting opportunities for the poll to be manipulated, it’s possible to reveal a record number votes this year too.

DJ Mag received votes from 231 global territories including Samoa, the Falkland Islands, San Marino, Rwanda, Eritrea, Tonga, Svalbard & Jan Mayen, Djibouti, Northern Mariana Islands, and Vatican City. From its humble beginnings as an editorial choice in the magazine in 1993, Top 100 DJs is now truly a global poll that engages millions of electronic dance music fans every year.

Nkosinathi Maphumulo, better known by his stage name Black Coffee, has been a leading pioneer in the Afro-house scene since the sound exploded in the ’00s. The South African DJ and producer has subsequently become a household name after becoming the first African to win the Grammy award for Best Dance/Electronic Album, but prior to his surge into further prominence, he’d long been a name for dance music lovers across the diaspora and beyond.

2024 was another stellar year for party-starting psy-trance duo Vini Vici. Since bursting onto the scene in 2013, and first entering the Top 100 DJs poll in 2017, members Matan Kadosh and Aviram Saharai have captivated dancefloors in near enough every corner of the globe with their high-energy beats and hypnotic rhythms, resulting in a sonic boom in psy-trance’s popularity.

Martin Garrix returned to number one place, David Guetta 2nd, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike 3rd. best new entries ANYMA (17th) and Keinemusik (35th).
