This September Oasis Festival returns to the city where it all started, taking over luxury music resort The Source in Marrakech from September 6th-8th 2024. Today, the pioneering Moroccan festival unveils the first wave of acts lined up for the ultimate North African escape, including Laurent Garnier, Jungle, Amine K, HAAi, Jyoty, and TSHA.

For almost a decade now Oasis has been the ultimate destination festival, authentically shining a light on Morocco and inviting global festivalgoers to dance somewhere different. After two years on the road with ‘Oasis: Into the Wild’, introducing adventurous music fans to explore lesser known regions of the country, Oasis is now returning to one of the festival’s best-loved locations, with yet another world-class lineup of artists.

Wonderfully indulgent resort The Source, with its lush gardens, winding walkways, and azure pools, is nestled in a two-acre site just moments from Marrakech Airport and close to the city’s bustling medina. The stunning sanctuary, with its unrivalled views of the nearby Atlas Mountains, provides the perfect backdrop for Morocco’s premier electronic music festival.

The soundtrack is just as special as the setting, with techno icon Laurent Garnier making his debut with a much-anticipated three-hour set. The Frenchman has been at the forefront of the underground for decades, always evolving his famously epic and emotional sound with each new album, not least his latest and great work, ‘33 Tours Et Puis S’en Vont’, which is packed with incredible musicianship. Having recently announced he will be stepping away from touring at the end of this year, this is a unique chance to see him perform in a unique and intimate location.

Jungle also lead the charge with an exclusive DJ set. One of the most respected global dance music acts of the past decade, the innovative British outfit has won over audiences worldwide with their eclectic mix of dance sounds, neo-soul, funk, nu-disco and plenty more across four studio albums, one of which was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. Alongside their captivating live performances, Jungle have built a reputation as exemplary DJs and impeccable curators, and this special set at Oasis Festival will allow them to share wide-ranging electronic influences and club sounds.

Also lining up this year will be Moroccan scene mainstay and Moroko Loko label head, Amine K who has played at every Oasis since the beginning, Manchester’s electric genre-spanning star Anz makes a debut, and HAAi will return for a second time with more of her psyched-out and textural techno.  Rinse FM host and renowned tastemaker Jyoty, who has become an integral part of the Oasis family since her first performance in 2022, makes a welcome return with her genre-blurring sets and colourful sound, and DJ and activist Nooriyah will join the dots between global music cultures. Contemporary Ninja Tune selector TSHA also makes her Oasis debut, and China’s Yu SU mixes up fourth-world ambience and left-field dance.

Oasis has always aimed to uplift local artists with its line-ups, providing a platform for many fantastic talents. This year that commitment goes up a level with an all-new stage designed by revered Moroccan artist Hassan Hajjaj and dedicated solely to Moroccan acts from the ever more fertile national scene.

Convergence label founder KOSH, another Oasis regular who now plays many of the world’s most cult clubs and will showcase his precise take on electro with an impressive live show.  Casablanca’s ANÏA, brings trance, acid, breaks, dub and techno that transcend space and time, Capra mixes up several genres with versatility, creativity and a darker edge, and Hi Jane will be on hand for an out-of-this-world electro trip. All this, plus plenty more from Moon.Wav, a groove maestro who mixes up disco, funk and house with plenty of energy, Sodfa – the trio of Candle, Qaboo Qaboo, and Kiki – who use mesmerising melodies to tell their immersive stories, as evidenced by deeply personal EPs for labels like Cafe De Anatolia, and Sound Sisters, the first women+ DJ collective in the country, who are known for revolutionising the Moroccan scene and providing a safe space for all women+ to collaborate, experiment and showcase their skills while celebrating diversity and inclusivity. Last but not least, the talented YAYA brings storytelling sounds from electro to spaced-out house and hip hop, all served up with plenty of passion.

With sun-kissed days and starlit nights soundtracked by world-class electronic music talent, Oasis Festival’s Marrakech homecoming is shaping up to be this summer’s most essential festival experience.
