During the summer, Europe is not so far from Africa. An excellent excuse to visit it? The electronic music festivals, especially in the Mediterranean area, including Spain, France, Italy, Croatia  and Cyprus. Of course, we shouldn’t forget about key events like Exit in Serbia and Tomorrowland in Belgium. Here are ten festivals not to be missed this summer. EXIT
when: July 6th-9th
where: Novi Sad, Serbia
For over 20 years, EXIT has become a global phenomenon, a gathering point for international media and the most prominent artists in the field. It has gained reputation through a series of night and morning sets and performances. Its Dance Arena is much more than a stage: it is an exemplar, a model to follow, an authentic temple of electronic music. This year, the fortress of Novi Sad will shine like never before for an edition of Exit that promises to be among the best ever.

SOCIAL MUSIC CITY

Social Music City is increasingly on the move. The festival, which lasts the entire summer, lands in Jesolo for the first time and returns to Rimini, confirming itself once again as an unmissable event for electronic music enthusiasts and fans of the world’s top DJs, who have always been the main protagonists at every Social Music City event. In total, there are three dates in the two most important Italian seaside resorts when it comes to (also) musical Mediterranean tourism.

TOMORROWLAND

Over 600 artists will perform on the 14 stages of the 17th edition of Tomorrowland, the Belgian festival scheduled in Boom during the last two weekends of July. As always, Tomorrowland is careful to offer a balanced mix of all genres of electronic music. House and techno, for example, will have their well-deserved and appropriate spaces. Additionally, the contingent of Brazilian artists is particularly substantial, thanks to the presence of Alok, Carola, Cat Dealers, Öwnboss, Vintage Culture. It’s a kind of preview and tribute to Tomorrowland Brazil, which will take place from October 12th to 14th in São Paulo.

On Saturday, July 29th, the quintessential European desert festival celebrates its 30th edition, returning to Fraga in Aragon, where it all began. All of this for 22 consecutive hours of music, featuring unprecedented stage setups, scenography, visuals, and many other special effects.
